High School/Middle School
To continue to promote healthy eating habits for the 2010/2011 school year we are re-emphasizing that our students purchase what is commonly called an approved class “A” lunch. A class “A” lunch includes all the components required by state guidelines to receive the nutrients necessary for a healthy balanced meal. Students who purchase this lunch for $2.50 receive a main item & bread/grain, a vegetable & fruit serving and an 8oz carton of milk. Two main item choices will be offered daily for students to choose from. Salads will also be available daily for purchase as part of their lunch.
If a student purchases main entree items separately or “alacarte” these items are priced at $2.50. If a student wishes to purchase an extra main item after a regular lunch has been purchased they will only be charged the $1.50 for the item. The pricing should encourage students to select a wholesome class A lunch.
Other Items for purchase on a daily basis are as follows:

This year Waynesville staff and service providers (OT, PT, Speech) were able to think of a thousand things to do with a
parachute and preschoolers. . . .
scooters and elementary students ...
Wii Fit and Middle and High school students.
And various sensory equipment to meet the needs of all students here in Waynesville.
The equipment was made possible by the generous donation of a Waynesville parent, a financial commitment by our district and two grants totaling $1843 from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
On Friday, April 30th, Waynesville Middle School students and staff ended a week of Ohio Achievements Assessments on an upbeat note. The day was beautiful and everyone enjoyed a cookout at lunchtime followed by a mini Relay for Life to raise money for the fight against cancer. Teams of students and staff alternated between walking laps and participating in various games at the park. The end result was a total of over $5,700 being raised for this important cause!!! AND everyone had a great time in the process!!!
