The 16th annual Writing Center Workshop

The 16th annual Writing Center Workshop was held at Waynesville High School the week of August 9-13. Ten high school juniors and seniors - Andrea Ames, Kaitlyn Boggs, Jamie Crane, Maggie Dowe, Leighanne Dyer, Molly Gossard, Faith Hawk, Cierra Philpott, Andrew Valiquette, and Lindsey Young-- spent the week polishing their writing skills as well as developing their conferencing strategies to be used in the Writing Center, which is located in the high school media center. During the school year, these tutors will devote one class period per day to help students at any stage of the writing process and to conference on any type of writing - from poetry to analysis papers to college admission essays.

All high school students are encouraged to visit the Writing Center - either during a study hall, during ET/EH, or after school.
