COLLEGE GOAL SUNDAY is scheduled for Sunday, February 12 at 2pm.

 If you need assistance with completing a FAFSA form this event is extremely helpful in answering all of your questions.  Representatives from area colleges will sit with you and help you fill  out your FAFSA form. To register for the event go to www.ohiocollegegoalsunday.org or call 1-800-233-6734. Area colleges sponsoring this event: University of Dayton, Wright State University,  Sinclair Community College (main and Courseview campuses).   

  DID YOU MISS FINANCIAL AID NIGHT???

 Nikki Dippold was here to go over the college financial aid process. She covered the FAFSA form and answered specific questions regarding types of financial aid such as loans, college specific and outside scholarship information. Nikki addressed other ways to cut college costs such as taking advantage co-operative learning and internships when the time comes (junior/senior years)
 
Seniors and a parent need to request a PIN number at www.pin.ed.gov and fill out the FAFSA NOW at www.fafsa.gov AND remember :
1. You DO NOT have to have filed your taxes to fill out the FAFSA.  You can estimate using your final paystubs.  After your taxes have been completed you MAY need to adjust your income numbers on the FAFSA and resubmit it.  Apply as soon as possible before the money pool runs out.
2. Call 1-800-4-FED-AID with any questions you have about filling out the FAFSA  or attend College Goal Sunday February 12. (see below)                                        
3. follow all DEADLINES outlined by your final college choices.
4. follow the steps and supply the  paperwork requested by the university is asked
5. check this website for local scholarships that become available. Also search www.fastweb.com for other national scholarships.
