Profile in Excellence
A part of our shared vision of success is recognizing diversity. Our students, parents, and staff represent diverse backgrounds, experiences, opinions, and problem-solving skills that combined create a culture of collaboration. Wayne Local Schools is a place where everyone has something to offer to the success of our school community and all contribute to make sure each child is receiving the best possible education.
Our November “Profile in Excellence” is featuring the contributions of Paraprofessional Danielle Bradley. Danielle’s definition of "Excellent" is “giving as much effort to help students you can give, which is 150% or more. I love to see at the end of the year how far a student has come. The first part of the school year, students have an attitude that says, ‘I can't do this, it’s too hard for me.’ Then by the end of the year, you show them how far they have come and you can see the excitement in their eyes!
Danielle graduated from Mariemont High School and has been a faithful servant to the students and staff within the Wayne Local School District since 1999. She has provided endless assistance to students of all ages, with a variety of abilities. Much of what she does within a work day goes unnoticed by colleagues, but never by students. As a dedicated paraprofessional, Danielle takes the initiative. She reads tests, modifies curriculum, tutors students, provides assistance to those with physical needs, and supports the teaching staff in team teaching and inclusion services. She creates study guides, holds study sessions, rereads text, and supports students within the general education classroom, in multiple grade levels, for various subjects. All of these things, she does without being asked.
To the students, Danielle is a helper, emotionally and academically. She is a motivator, a counselor, a parent, and a teacher. With endless patience, persistence, and dedication, she supports students within the classroom, on field trips, in extracurricular activities, and within the community as a Spartan Mom, to all. Whether it is a forgotten helmet, missing homework, or just the need for a listening ear, Danielle is where the students in the Middle School can find refuge.
Through versatility and dedication Danielle sees the need and she meets it, for every student. Her loyalty is evident by a very busy schedule fulfilling numerous roles within the school district; this recognition of Excellence has been rightfully bestowed upon an extraordinary employee. The students she supports, each and every day, are in capable, compassionate, and dedicated hands. Danielle Bradley is a part of Spartan Pride, Community Wide.
