High School/Middle School To continue to promote healthy eating habits for the 2010/2011 school year we are re-emphasizing that our students purchase what is commonly called an approved class “A” lunch. A class “A” lunch includes all the components required by state guidelines to receive the nutrients necessary for a healthy balanced meal. Students who purchase this lunch for $2.50 receive a main item & bread/grain, a vegetable & fruit serving and an 8oz carton of milk. Two main item choices will be offered daily for students to choose from. Salads will also be available daily for purchase as part of their lunch. If a student purchases main entree items separately or “alacarte” these items are priced at $2.50. If a student wishes to purchase an extra main item after a regular lunch has been purchased they will only be charged the $1.50 for the item. The pricing should encourage students to select a wholesome class A lunch. Other Items for purchase on a daily basis are as follows: Gatorade, Water, 100% Fruit Juice, Chips, Nachos & Cheese, Pop Tarts, Twix, Ice Cream Varieties, and as always extra fruit, vegetable and milk servings. Elementary School We are introducing several “New” breakfast items this year. A large variety of awesome breakfast items will be available on a 3 week rotation! Breakfast is $1.25 and includes a main item & bread/grain, juice & milk. Breakfast is served from 8:10 until 8:30. Starting the day with a healthy breakfast is important for children. We hope you will have your child experience breakfast with us! Prices for regular lunches will remain $2.50. Students in the Elementary are given all the components which consist of: a main item & bread/grain, a vegetable & fruit serving and an 8oz carton of milk. Salads will also be available daily for purchase as part of a regular lunch. Extra Items students can purchase on a daily basis at lunch are: Water, Chips, Ice Cream Varieties, Twix, and as always extra fruit, vegetable and milk servings. Please make sure you login to www.spsezpaywaynelocal.com and register your child’s account, you will need their PIN Number to do this. You may add money to your child’s lunch account or pay school fees on this website. You do not have to pay using this system, but it allows you to check their account balances, see what they are purchasing, and you can sign up to receive low balance emails. You will be automatically notified when their lunch balance falls below $15.00 as a reminder to either login to add money to their account or to send in money with your student.
