Dylan Elsbernd and Jordan Summers are pictured with Greater Cincinnati Economics coordinator Kim Moon receiving a certificate and $150 each for winn9ing the stock market contest. The team finished in first place out of 352 teams and now is qualified for a trip to either New York or Denver in the spring. The team was part of Mr Gabbards Personal Finance Class. The entire class was also treated to a pizza party sponsored by the Greater Cincinnati Economic Education Department.

Last weekend Waynesville 8th grader Austin Parish traveled to Tulsa Oklahoma to compete in the Cliff Keen Tulsa Nationals. This tournament features over 2,000 wrestlers from approximately 40 states ages 4-16 competing for a national title. Austin entered the tournament in the 135 pound weight class. The 32 man bracket consisted of wrestlers from 13 states. Austin finished an outstanding weekend of wrestling taking 6th place. Austin defeated the wrestler who went on to place 4th and saw a close match that ended in a narrow defeat by a score of 0-2 to the eventual champion.

Austin looks ahead toward the rest of his season and will be competing in the West Virginia National Duals as well as the Ohio Jr. High State Tournament.

Through its high school scholarship program, Rittgers & Rittgers will award four scholarships totaling $10,000 to deserving high school seniors in Warren County Ohio each year. The scholarship program is intended to help local students pay for advanced education such as college, nursing, business, trade, technical training, or other similar program.
