United States Army Reserves

Junior and Senior students had the opportunity to listen to Army Reserve recruiter SSG Christopher Aggas.  

The Mission of the US Army Reserves is to provide COMBAT-READY units and Soldiers to the Army and the Joint Force ACROSS THE FULL SPECTRUM OF CONFLICT. 

Thank you to SSG Aggas for sharing your knowledge with our students.

United Way of Warren County

College and Career Readiness students were introduced to Ms. Riley O'Grady of the United Way Warren County. We partner with UWWC Workforce Initiative Program to help place students in jobs, job shadowing experiences and internships.

The Ohio State University

The Ohio State University, Columbus and Newark, visited WHS in a virtual informational and Q & A college session.  Both Juniors and Seniors were able to learn about each campus in general, scholarship opportunities, comparison in cost, the detailed information on the admission process.  For more information visit https://visit.osu.edu/ for the Columbus Campus and https://newark.osu.edu/future-students/visit-campus/?scrlybrkr=c4121fa0 for the Newark Regional Campus.

Miami University Regional Campus

WHS junior's taking College & Career Readiness classes, had the opportunity to hear about the Work+ program at Miami University Regional Campus's. The Work+ program pays for students to attend college full time, while working and getting their education FULLY paid for!

Monday, UNOH (University of Northwestern Ohio) came to speak to College and Career Readiness students. UNOH offers associates, bachelors, and masters degrees in both business & applied technologies.

Ohio Valley Electrical Services

Ohio Valley Electrical Services visits College & Career Readiness students on Monday to teach students about their paid apprenticeship program.  There are so many great options for our students, this is just one of them.

Congratulations to Junior Levi Morgan on being the first to earn his OSHA-10 credential. All College & Career Readiness students will earn their credential by completing the course in class. Thanks for Warren County Career Center for offering this to our satellite programs!

Guest Speaker Emery Siders

Senior Emery Siders speaks to Freshman in Transitions & Careers about her experiences at Warren County Career Center. Emery is enrolled in the Vet Tech program, and plans to attend Morehead State and earn her degree in Veterinarian Science. Emery takes AP and CCP classes, and loves her experience at the Career Center.
