Carol Yearling Memorial Donation

Waynesville Elementary is very fortunate to be the recipient of Mrs. Carol Yearling’s decades-long passion and service in public education. Mrs. Yearling dedicated her professional career at Waynesville to young readers and instilled an excitement for the written word. The Title 1/ Rainbow Reading program was Mrs. Yearling’s vehicle for implementing and driving home the foundational skills for reading. Many students and families have benefited from her years of service and the reading program that evolved.  As an exemplary elementary teacher, Ms. Yearling was also a Project Excellence Winner as selected by the Warren County Area Progress Council.  

We were recently saddened to learn that Carol had passed away. On behalf of her memory, the Waynesville Retired Teachers Association has made a generous donation to the WES Rainbow Reading Program. Wayne Local Schools would like to thank the Retired Teachers Association and Mr. Pat Dubbs for his matching donation and contribution to our current and future readers of Waynesville Elementary and Rainbow Reading Program.
