  • 1.65 mills

  •  5 years

  •  $58 per year for $100,000 of appraised property value 

  •  Generates $662,000 in revenue each year

  •  Used for Capital Improvements, Maintenance, Repairs, HVAC, Technology, Safety & Security, Bus/Van/Truck Purchases

  •  CAN NOT BE USED for Salaries & Benefits


Due to EXPIRING BOND ISSUE (from 1998 to build the high school) this levy will result in NO INCREASE IN TAXES 


ELECTION DAY- March 19th, 2024 (During Wayne Local Schools' Spring Break!)

A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage

An additional tax for the benefit of Wayne Local School for the purpose of general permanent improvements that the county auditor estimates will collect $662,000 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1.65 mills for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $58 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value, for 5 years, commencing in 2024, first due in calendar year 2025.
