Congratulations to 2026 Franklin B. Walter Scholarship Recipient, Ella Biscardi

Waynesville High School senior Ella Biscardi has been selected as the 2026 Franklin B. Walter Scholarship (FBW) recipient for Wayne Local Schools and will be recognized at the FBW Banquet on April 10. Also in April, learn about Ella's Teacher of Influence, Mrs. Bethany Lamb, who will also be recognized at the banquet.

Ella plans to pursue a degree in nursing, with long-term goals of serving others through women’s health and eventually becoming a nurse-midwife. Ella was selected for this prestigious honor because of her outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to serving others. Throughout her high school career, she has distinguished herself as a student who leads with purpose, contributes to her school community, and consistently pursues excellence in and out of the classroom.

In addition to her academic success, Ella has been actively involved in a wide range of school and service organizations, including Leo Club, Art Club, National Honor Society, Connect Leaders, tutoring, Ski Club, and Cross Country. Her honors include recognition through the National Merit Scholarship Program, the Lions Young Leaders in Service Award, Spartan Recognition, and the Outstanding Freshman Award.
