Volleyball Sports Update

Posted:  Oct 18, 2022 Volleyball finished up their regular season with a big win on Senior night over Oakwood.  Followed by a fun Senior night game vs. the Senior boys.  Thursday night the team fell to Bellbrook.  They will begin tournament action on the 18th at Lebanon.

Posted: Sept 12, 2022 Tuesday the girls’ volleyball team was set to play the Edgewood Cougars on the road. The Spartans tried their best but were ultimately no match for the Cougars losing in three sets. The final scores were 25-23, 25-7, 25-12.Thursday night the Spartans tussled with the Eaton Eagles at home. It was an extremely exciting game with all of the sets played being extremely close. The Spartans won the first set however, they could not pull off the win in a stinging loss. The final scores were 17-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.

The Lady Spartans volleyball team had an extremely successful week, first facing the Brookville Blue Devils who were easily outmatched with the Spartans coming away with the win with a final score of 25-19, 25-19, 25-23. Thursday evening they played the Carlisle Indians. The Spartans despite losing the first set have yet again proven their prowess on the court again pulling in another victory with the end score being 23-25, 25-14, 25-19,25-10.

Both JV and Varsity Volleyball have started strong with a current record of 3-0.  They have both won every game in straight sets, 2 sets in JV matches and 3 sets in varsity.  While varsity let Clermont Northeastern get close in 2 of the 3 sets they slammed the door on Dayton Christian and Greeneview.
