Waynesville High School Recognizes Salutatorian Kelcie Grayson

Kelcie Grayson has been named the Salutatorian of Waynesville High School’s Class of 2025. Known for her academic dedication and strong leadership, she plans to attend Florida International University to major in Civil Engineering. Throughout high school, Kelcie has been an active member of the National Honor Society and LEO Club while excelling in varsity volleyball and track.
Outside of academics, Kelcie enjoys crocheting, baking, sewing, and riding horses each evening. Her volunteer work at the Therapeutic Riding Institute, where she serves as a Horse Leader assisting individuals with special needs, speaks volumes about her character and compassion.
She is guided by the motto, “If you don't do it excellently, don't do it at all,” a quote she discovered in a fortune cookie and later learned was initially written by Robert Townsend. Kelcie’s future shines bright as she begins her next exciting chapter. Kelcie is the daughter of Ryan and Amy Grayson.
