WHS Seniors Receive Over $75,000 in Local Scholarships

The Waynesville High School Class of 2025 has been awarded over $75,000 in local scholarships thanks to the incredible generosity of our local organizations, businesses, individuals, and families. These scholarships recognize outstanding academic achievements, leadership, community service, athletics, the arts, and more.
More than 90 individual scholarships were awarded, made possible by donors ranging from civic organizations to family memorial funds, community booster groups, local businesses, school staff, and anonymous contributors.
“This outpouring of support reflects the heart of our community,” said Superintendent Dr. Ison. “Each scholarship is more than financial assistance — it’s a message to our students that they are seen, supported, and encouraged.”
WHS Academic Counselor Mrs. Abby Shinkle added, “To our donors - thank you for investing in the futures of our students. Your generosity will have a lasting impact for years to come.”
