WMS Eighth Graders Take Learning on the Road

Waynesville Middle School eighth graders experienced a four-day trip to Washington, D.C., visiting Gettysburg, Mount Vernon, Arlington National Cemetery, Ford’s Theatre, and several memorials. The packed itinerary gave students the opportunity to connect classroom learning with important places, people, and events from American history.

From exploring battlefields and historic homes to honoring service members and reflecting at national memorials, students spent four days filled with history, learning, and memories they will carry for years to come.
