Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!
Dear Waynesville Elementary Families,
Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you're returning to Waynesville Elementary or joining our school family for the very first time, we are so excited to welcome you. I hope your summer has been filled with fun, laughter, and special moments with family and friends. We can't wait to open our doors and begin another incredible year together!
As we prepare for the first day of school, please continue to watch for our back-to-school communications. Throughout the next few weeks, we'll be sharing important information regarding Open House, classroom assignments, school events, and everything you need to help your child have a successful start to the school year.
Our Theme for 2026–2027
"You Belong"
At Waynesville Elementary, we believe every child deserves to walk through our doors knowing they are loved, valued, and belong. Our greatest priority is creating a school where every student feels safe, connected, encouraged, and inspired to learn.
This year, we are committed to meeting every student where they are—academically, socially, and emotionally—and helping them grow into the very best version of themselves. Every child learns differently, and every child has unique gifts to share. Together, we'll celebrate growth, encourage perseverance, and create opportunities for every student to experience success.
Elementary school is about so much more than reading, writing, and math. It is where lifelong memories are made. It's the excitement of discovering something new in the classroom, the joy of field trips, music programs, and art shows, the friendships built on the playground, the laughter shared in the cafeteria, and the countless moments that shape a child's love of learning. These experiences help create the foundation for a lifetime of curiosity, confidence, and character.
As young Spartans, we will continue to live out our PBIS expectations each day by being:
- Respectful
- Responsible
- Kind
These three simple expectations guide everything we do. They help us build strong relationships, make good choices, and create a school community where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and valued.
Our dedicated teachers and staff are passionate about partnering with families because we know that when schools and families work together, amazing things happen. Thank you for trusting us with your children each day. It is truly an honor to be part of their educational journey.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of Waynesville Elementary. We are looking forward to welcoming our students back into our classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, cafeteria, and all the places where learning, laughter, and lifelong memories happen every day.
Together, let's make the 2026–2027 school year one filled with growth, joy, belonging, and unforgettable experiences.
Welcome home, young Spartans… because here, YOU BELONG!
Have a wonderful school year!
Go Spartans!
