Why Two-Way Communication Matters
Open communication between our schools, families, and community is essential for building strong, successful relationships. The school–home connection is about more than tracking academic progress; it’s about partnering to bridge the two most important environments in a child’s life. When we keep families informed, share district news, and celebrate student and staff achievements, we strengthen trust, deepen connection, and reinforce a shared sense of purpose: supporting every student's success.
ParentSquare
Wayne Local Schools uses a communication platform called ParentSquare to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with our district, schools, teachers, coaches, and more. It provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, students, and parents to:
- Receive messages from the school via email, text, or app notification
- Choose to receive information as it comes or all at once with a daily digest at 6 p.m.
- Communicate in your preferred language
- Direct message teachers, staff, and other parents
- Participate in group messages
- Sign up for parent-teacher conferences
- Sign forms and permission slips, sign up to volunteer, and more, all from your desktop or mobile device
Parents and guardians are automatically added to ParentSquare from contact information entered in FinalForms.

This monthly publication is available on the first Wednesday of each month and includes school- and non-school-sponsored information that community members in our district may be interested in. The distribution and display of the included content are provided as a community service.
