2021-22 Cheerleading Tryouts
Tryouts are for Waynesville Junior High and High School students who are interested in trying out for Football, Basketball, and Competition squads. *Students who are currently in grades 6-11
*Wear athletic clothes and tennis shoes to tryout clinics. *Bring a water bottle. NO WATER FOUNTAINS! *Bring a mask!
Parent Meeting:
Parents of any interested student currently in grades 6-11 should plan to attend an informational meeting on Monday evening, April 12, at 7:00 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria. We will be sharing information regarding tryout details, summer camp, football, basketball, and competition cheerleading seasons. Tryout Details:
Date: Tuesday, April 13
Time: 6:00-8:00
Clinic #1 for students trying out
Students should report to the elementary school gym
Date: Wednesday, April 14
Time: 6:00-8:00
Clinic #2 Open gym, to work on all material taught on Monday.
Time will also be given to work on jumps and tumbling. We will do a “mock tryout” that evening so all students understand the tryout process.
Date: Thursday, April 15 - TRYOUTS
Time: 5:30-8:00
Students may leave once individual tryout is complete.
Details TBA tryout week!
Date: Friday, April 16
Results are individually communicated to students.
