Waynesville Coaching Requirements

Meet with the Athletic Director for interview/approval. Completion of Coaches Pupil Activity Application for Wayne Local School Board approval. Upon board approval, the following steps must be completed in the order listed prior to coaching.

1. FBI/BCI background check- Please reach out to Jan Dworetsky at jdworetsky@waynelocal.net to schedule an appointment. There is a cost associated with this and cash or check will only be accepted.

2. Complete Coaches Tool Chest. This is an all encompassing program for all required coaches certifications. It's a series of videos and quizzes. www.coachestoolchest.com

You will receive a certificate at the completion of the entirety of the program. A copy of completion must be sent to jmanley@waynelocal.net or added to the coaches Final Forms account. As a part of this training, you will have completed the necessary Fraud training and Mental Health training required by ODE.

3. Coaches Pupil Activity Permit through the Ohio Department of Education (PAP through ODE)- Create or access your account through the Ohio Department of Education at https://safe.ode.state.oh.us/portal Here you will purchase the Coaches Pupil Activity Permit. This application will require your FBI prints, and a copy of your completed Coaches Tool Chest Certificate to be uploaded for proof of the Mental Health Component.
