Alumni Marching Band this Friday Night - Sept 22

The Waynesville Marching Band is inviting any band alumni to come on Friday, September 22, 2017, for the Alumni Marching Band. You will meet at 4:00pm in the band room on Friday to get organized. Then you will rehearse with the high school band from 4:30-5:15 in the stadium before the games. The current band members and our band boosters will provide dinner for everyone after rehearsal. The alumni band members will march out in the pre-game block and play the Fight Song and the Star Spangled Banner(and make a tunnel for the team). You will then form the same block and march out to perform a halftime show of three tunes(Hang on Sloopy, Crazy Train, and The Hey Song). Anyone interested, contact Leslie Schleman at lschleman@waynelocal.net or call the band office (897-2776, the extention 3117) by Wednesday, September 20th. She needs to know the instrument you play and whether or not you will need an instrument for the game. If you want music to practice before the 22nd, there are PDF files of all the tunes will play on the "Alumni" page of the band's website.
