Boys Golf Update 9-15

Update:  9/18 The Boys Varsity Golf Team had a big win tonight against Dixie (167-221), putting them in a tie for first place as they go into the SWBL Tournament this Thursday.  Drake Stiles (38) and Jackson Beachler (42) were our leaders for the night.

Update:  9/15 The boys varsity golf team traveled to Kittyhawk Golf Course on Monday to face Northridge.  The Spartans, led by Drake Stiles (42) and Sam Warren (43), finished with a big win over the Polar Bears, 180-238.  The varsity team advances to 4-1 in the SWBL, maintaining a share of first place with Milton Union.  The Spartans will finish up their league play next week with a dual match against Dixie on Monday and the SWBL Tournament on Thursday. 

The boys JV golf team traveled to Wilmington Elks Golf Course on Thursday to face Wilmington.  The two teams were well matched, but the Spartans fell to the Hurricane by one stroke, 202-203.  Joe Hobbs (44) and Bryce Daniel (49) shot their season-low scores to lead the team.  The JV team will conclude their season next week with a match at Little Miami.  Good luck, Spartan golfers!

Update:  9/13 The boys varsity golf team faced Clinton Massie at Majestic Springs on Tuesday.  The Spartans, led by Bryce Cumbow, were unable to outscore the Falcons, losing 173-195.  The varsity team then traveled to Liberty Country Club on Thursday where they defeated Preble Shawnee, 172-224.  The team was led by Drake Stiles (39), Matthew Warren (44), and Bryce Cumbow (44).  This win gives the team a 3-1 record in the SWBL.  

The boys JV golf team faced Clinton Massie at Majestic Springs on Wednesday.  The Spartans finished with a season-low team score of 209, earning them another win.  The team was led by Hunter Clements, Bryce Daniel, and Luke Kindred.
