Waynesville Elementary School will be celebrating the week of March 1st-5th for Read Across America. There are planned themes each day as well as some fun book-related events.
- Monday - wear something with animal print - "If I Ran the Zoo Day!"
- Tuesday - wear a shirt you can read - "I Can Read with my Eyes Shut!"
- Wednesday - wear something green - "Green Eggs and Clothes Day!"
- Thursday - wear crazy socks - "Fox in Socks Day!"
- Friday - wear a hat - "Cat in the Hat Day!"
Students in all grade levels will be receiving a complimentary book during class assemblies on Friday, March 5, courtesy of Waynesville PTO! We appreciate all the PTO does to support our students!
Additionally, the celebration continues a little longer as the Annual Book Swap will be held the week of March 8-11. What a fun way to share the love of reading!
