“THE WORLD BENEATH YOUR FEET”

THIRD GRADE STUDENTS VISIT THE SOILS TRAILER

All third grade students had the opportunity to walk through the soils trailer. The trailer is a renovated 35 foot trailer that has been designed to look like the underground world. Students got the opportunity to experience some hands-on activities while inside the trailer. They explored soils, fossils, models of aquatic creatures, storm drains and plants. This lesson helped students to understand why soil is an important natural resource that helps to support all life on land.

We would like to thank the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District for providing this great opportunity for all of the third graders.
