Football Game Outline of Events:

6:00pm  Homecoming Court 
6:35pm Pregame Announcements - Military Appreciation Night
6:40pm OHSAA Introduction and Introduction of football players and cheerleaders
6:45pm Fight Song
6:50pm Team take the field
6:52pm Appreciation extended to the Bailey Family, our country's military, followed by a moment of silence
6:55pm - National Anthem
7:00pm - Kickoff
End of 1st quarter - Teacher of the Week - Angee Polzinetti; KHMC Announcements
Halftime - Band performances with Middle School band members
End of 3rd quarter - Announcements of WHS upcoming events
End of game

Homecoming Parade - Cancelled

Date:  Wednesday, September 23
Time:  6:30pm
Participants: 

  • WHS Homecoming Court
  • HS/MS Fall Sports Teams (Cheerleaders, Volleyball, Golf (boys/girls), Girls Tennis, Football, Soccer, Cross-Country (boys/girls)
  • Marching band
  • Waynesville Police and Fire Departments

Line-up Time:  5:45-6pm
Parade Start Time:  6:30pm
Parade Set Up:  Grand Marshals and Homecoming Court line up in Subway parking lot;  Teams line up on South Street and curve back to High Street
Parade Route:  Starting at the Main Street/South Street intersection; traveling North up Main Street.  Ending at Pat's Gas.

Homecoming Ceremony - Friday, Sept. 25, 2020

The ceremony will feature the homecoming court with an announcement for Homecoming King and Queen.  Filming will take place.  

Time:  1:38-2:22; school dismissal will follow the ceremony

Location:  Spartan Community Field stadium, weather permitting

Waynesville High School Homecoming Parade 2020

Date:          Wednesday, September 23 at 6:30PM

Participants:          

  • Waynesville High School Homecoming Court
  • HS/MS Fall Sport Teams- (Cheerleaders, Volleyball, Golf (boys/girls), Girls Tennis, Football, Soccer, Cross Country (boys/girls)
  • Marching Band
  • Waynesville Police and Fire Department     

Rules:

  1. One couple per car for Homecoming Court
    • Must wear a mask throughout the parade
    • May have a sign on car with names
  2. Sports’ Teams Must Walk (a minimum of 3 feet apart)
    • Must wear a mask and maintain a social distance throughout the parade
    • May have a lead car or truck with a banner on it. No more than one person in the bed of the truck.
  3. Band Must Walk (a minimum of 3 feet apart)
    • Must follow protocols that have been established for marching throughout the parade
  4. Spectators must stay maintain a social distance as the parade passes through the viewing area.
  5. Grand Marshall-

Other Considerations:

  1. No flatbed trailers or floats
  2. No standing around at the end- everyone must disperse at the end from school grounds
  3. No food, candy or other items may be thrown to spectators

  • Organized by CONNECT leaders

Homecoming Court Announced at the Football Game Friday, Sept. 25

Homecoming Dance will be determined at a later date in the winter during basketball season if permitted

Start at school

Come out of Spartan Way- turn right

Turn right on Edwards Dr.

Turn left on High St.

Turn Rt. On 3rd/ South Street

Left on Main St.

Left on Franklin

Right onto Dayton Rd.

End at School
