National School Nurses Day

Happy National School Nurse's Day! on May 12th, 2021

National School Nurse Day is a day for people to show appreciation for nurses who are serving in a school setting.  We celebrate and acknowledge the accomplishments of school nurses and their efforts of meeting the needs of today’s students by improving the delivery and contributions to our local communities by helping students stay healthy, in school, and ready to learn. 

This year was particularly challenging as they navigated through the COVID pandemic with contact tracing, quarantining, tracking and working with the county and state health department.  The Wayne Local School District is extremely grateful to have such a dedicated, dynamic duo on our team.   Thank you for all that you do every day Jen Royalty and Shelly Philpot!
