Spartan Cross-Country Teams Dominate at Bellbrook Invitational!!!

Last Saturday was another great race day for our Spartan Cross Country teams! We traveled to one of the athletes’ favorite courses at Bellbrook High School. This location is widely known as a “classic” Cross Country course-as it offers hills, water, fields, and a lot of fun for our runners!  

Our High School Girls team, ranked #5 in the State, took home the first place trophy as they captured the team championship by a whopping 50 points!  Our Lady Spartan runners were lead by the Erbach sisters.  Freshman Samantha Erbach lead the pack from the start, winning the race by an astounding 42 seconds!  Her counterpart, senior sister Hope Erbach, came in close behind running strong and winning third place on the day!  

Our High School Boys team, ranked #3 in the State, won the second place team championship trophy and records were broken in the process!  In addition to breaking the Bellbrook course record, senior standout Kaden Harvey also broke the 5K school record running the course in a blistering fast race time of 15:52.3 seconds!  

In the High School boys open race, AJ Seidenschmidt got out in front and never looked back!  He captured gold as he won first place!  

Our Junior High girls and boys teams both took home the runner-up trophies coming in second place! Our Junior High Lady Spartan duo of Olivia Walters and Kendal Erbach came in first and second place respectfully; while Junior High boys’ teammates Celtan Walton and Wade Von Handorf came in second and third place in their race!

This weekend, our Spartan runners will divide and conquer, as our Varsity Boys and Girls teams will be running at Mason and our Boys Open runners and Junior High teams will compete at Brookville.  We are looking forward to another outstanding performance by this very special and talented group of Spartan Runners
