The Second & Seven Foundation

THE MISSION OF THE 2ND & 7 FOUNDATION IS TO PROMOTE READING BY PROVIDING FREE BOOKS AND POSITIVE ROLE MODELS TO KIDS IN NEED WHILE ENCOURAGING YOUNG ATHLETES OF THE COMMUNITY TO PAY IT FORWARD.

Student athletes from high schools and universities across the nation are in the schools each week, reading to kids, handing out books, and reminding the 2nd graders why reading is so important.  In the school year 2015-2016, the 2nd & 7 Foundation provided 6,947 books to 76 schools in central Ohio alone.

Today at Waynesville, student athletes did just that!  They got to hang out with 2nd graders, promoting literacy and serving as positive role models.  They did a great job and the 2nd graders were AWESOME!
