Waynesville Cross Country

The Waynesville cross country team started their season at the Bob Schul Inv. at Milton-Union Saturday. Our JH boys running in the "A" race dominated the competition coming in 1st out of 50 teams that included many big schools such as Springboro and Lebanon. Our Spartans scored 55 points beating the next closest competitor Monroe by 105 points! Our top 5 runners all placed in the top 20 out of a field of 355 runners. Leading the way and breaking his own school record was Colin Amato running the 2 mile course in 11:22 placing 3rd. Next was Kaden Harvey in 4th running 11:25 which also broke Colin's old record of 11:26. Trevor Camp was 11th, Denver Johnson (17th), and Stefan Muterspaw was 20th. Rounding out our JH team was Levi Morgan (29th), newcomers Rhett Bailey (60th) and Caden Adams, and 8th grader Gavin Price.
