Back-to-School Dates for Families

Here are the back-to-school dates for WLS students:

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

The staggered start of school dates for the 25-26 school year is as follows:

6th - 12th graders in session - August 19, 2025

1st - 5th graders in session - August 21

Kindergartners begin - August 22

Preschoolers begin - August 25

OPEN HOUSES

-Preschool, Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grade students - August 14, 5-7 p.m. (Waynesville Elementary)

-1st, 3rd, and 5th grade students - August 18, 5-7 p.m. (Waynesville Elementary)

-6th - 12th graders - August 25, 6-8 p.m. (Waynesville Junior/Senior High)

ORIENTATIONS

-Orientation for 6th and 7th graders and *NEW Jr/Sr HS students - August 18, 7:30 - 9:30 a.m.

-All Day Orientation for 2nd and 4th graders - August 19

-All Day Orientation for 1st, 3rd, and 5th graders - August 20
