As winter weather becomes more unpredictable, Wayne Local Schools remains committed to providing families with timely, accurate information about delays and closures. When inclement weather impacts the school schedule, updates will be communicated through the following channels:

2-Hour Delays

The 2-hour delay schedule for students in preschool, young fives, and kindergarten is as follows:

AM Preschool, Young Fives, Kindergarten
10:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

PM Preschool, Young Fives, Kindergarten
1:45 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

School Closures

When school is closed due to inclement weather or extreme cold, evening activities and athletic events may also be canceled. Decisions regarding cancellations are made on a case-by-case basis, with student, staff, and community safety as the primary consideration.
