Waynesville High School Earns Top Rankings
Waynesville High School has earned recognition among the best high schools in Ohio and the nation, reflecting the district’s commitment to excellence and student success. In the latest U.S. News & World Report rankings, WHS placed #44 in Ohio, a strong position among more than 700 schools statewide. Nationally, the school ranks #1,158 out of nearly 18,000 high schools, with an impressive overall score of 93.53 out of 100.
The recognition highlights that Wayne Local Schools offers exceptional opportunities in a highly supportive community; students have access to rigorous Advanced Placement coursework. Academic achievement is also evident in state test results—81% proficiency in math, 85% in reading, and 86% in science. Most notably, WHS maintains a graduation rate above 95%, underscoring the school’s ability to prepare students for academic success, workforce readiness, and lifelong achievement.
