WLS will be on a Two-Hour Delay for January 29

Wayne Local Schools will be on a 2-HOUR DELAY on Thursday, January 29, 2026. The delay will provide additional daylight for safer morning travel. Buses will run two hours later than usual. 

Here’s the 2-hour delay schedule for preschool, young fives, and kindergarten:

AM Preschool, Young Fives, Kindergarten     10:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
PM Preschool, Young Fives, Kindergarten      1:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

To support working parents, our school buildings will open at their regular times for families who need to drop off students to get to work on time. Students who arrive early should report to their building cafeteria for supervision by our staff. As always, breakfast will be offered.

Our schools will open at these times:

WES - 8:15 a.m. or after 
WMS - 7:15 a.m. or after
WHS - 7:15 a.m. or after
